Excellent rework and an awesome shot.  That definitely belongs on a wall in a prominent location.

Thank you Jerry,

I'm still figuring out things about processing Xtran files.  As for a wall, I need to add an addition :-}

Ronda, Andalusia , Spain. Fuji X-PRO2 with 10-24 @ a0 mm. Panorama.

Granada, Andalusia, Spain. Fuji X-H1, 50-140. Panorma of Alhambra and Sierra Nevada in background.

This are two of the around 1400 pictures I have kept after 1 week in Spain. Many others was sorted out. There were many nice photo opportunities in Andalusia.

Less than 48 hours after a 3" snowfall, it was 42 F out today, no wind, and that nice, strong, Boulder sun.  A beautiful day - I was taking these wearing a long-sleeve thermal t-shirt.  Hard to complain.

This is a beauty André. It seems a bit dark and when I downloaded it the histogram seemed to say the same thing. Any artistic reason for this?

Thanks for your comment, Morris. It was perhaps a little too sombre because of that low sun behind me.

Here it is again, a bit brighter, especially the foreground.

These are not excellent photos, but the excellent subject makes up for it!

There's a small spruce tree somewhere in there.

Late afternoon on the Presidential Range. I think I'll come back here with my long lens sometime.

A calm and relatively warm evening (relative being the key word there).

Great captures and they work very well together.  What time do owls wake up?

Thanks, JS!  Good question.  We typically start searching for owls late in the afternoon (30-60 minutes before sunset, give or take) and most often the owls we encounter are sleeping, or at least have their eyes closed.  This little guy opened his eyes for about 10 minutes or so before flying off and looking for his dinner.  That would be perhaps 15-30 minutes after sunset.  So, in general, this sort of photography is almost always done on a tripod in waning light... very often after sunset.  Since the owls tend to be quite stationary (until they're ready to fly off), one can often get away with a 1s or longer exposure.  I usually shoot away like crazy to ensure that I'm getting shots that aren't affected by subtle motion of the bird (which can impact at least half of the shots).  I prefer keeping my ISO relatively low just to ensure the best possible detail.

How's that for a very long answer to a very short question?

Very instructive!  Thanks.  I recall seeing an owl in mid day at the local cemetery.  Maybe this was unusual?
