I do think I'll go with the X-T100; I was perfectly happy with my X-E2 apart from the lack of a touch and selfie screen; even if the performance between the two is identical, I'll still be happy about it.

I did test it out for a bit in a showroom with my 27mm and it didn't notice anything odd about the autofocus; I forgot to check if it was in performance mode or not, as well as firmware version, but overall it seemed ok, if a bit small.

Guess I'll need to get a grip as well like I had for my X-E2.

Many thanks for everyone for chiming in, I really appreciate all your input.

I had a MkII for 9 months and just had a XT 100 for 2 months so still learning. MKii is smaller and easier to carry when travelling. The sharpness of the focus is better in the Mkii. The creative options are better on the XT100 and i find the change of film types great. Raw transfer is crap on XT100 and lack of wire transfer option is not as good as Mkii. But Mkii transfer was not always that reliable. Software update mechanism is poor on Xt100 as you cant download directly but have to use a card reader. Now the XT costs £350 its great value compared to MKii. The XT100 seems easier to use with function buttons that are larger and can be personalised. The Q button is a god send as it makes making setting changes far easier than using the menu.  Neither compare to my Canon EOS6D SLR but then they have a different purpose.

take Fuji and don't think. I had both oly5m2 and fuji xt2 and here's what I'll say: 1. ibis is cool, but stabilization is enough in the lens. to tomuzhe for shooting a dynamic scene, it is useless, the image quality at high iso is more important. 2. weather protection is a nice bonus, but it's not the main thing in the camera. for a year, I used it 1 time and then in not heavy snow. with my old canon 600d, I also got into the rain and snow... 3.the picture is more beautiful for fuji: more details, much more interesting colors and opportunities for post-processing. oly5m2 has a picture that is too oversharped, plastic and processed, the feeling that it was taken with a smartphone. there is no smoothness in the colors.(it feels like) 4. still, the size of the matrix is a very important aspect when choosing a camera. noise from oly is visible even on a clear day at iso 200, of course when printing for example 20x30 they are not noticeable, but their presence is annoying.

I made the switch this week from Olympus. Better photos is the bottom line and I'm finding Fuji rings the bell. Easier operation, better photos and the Fuji eco-system just makes sense to me.
