Don't be crybabies; get out and take pictures!

5" of snow? Wo-pee. We just got 10 inches and it didn't grind the city to a halt. Besides, the photo ops are better than if all you see is now snow and brown, barren trees.

No thank you.

It's days like this I just sit around and hone ye olde photoshop skills, cropping wildly from my high megapixel modern cameras! Making photos from where there were none.

The snow is great for photo shoots. Just remember to be careful. I went out yesterday to warm up the car before loading my camera gear and on the way back into the house I slipped on the ice and flew in the air. Luckily I landed on my head. Was sore for a few days but still worth it.

LOL....ten inches? Oh boy. Ribbon ceremony forthcoming. That being said....

Fresh snow is fun to shoot in, it was the negative 30f this am that is kind of a buzzkill.

He's sitting in front of the computer.  Snow is exciting.  Because we aren't pilgrims starving to death.

Have to say this is the sort of thing that makes me embarrassed to be British.

I remember the winter of 1964 which was a real winter with five feet of snow and the country still kept on truckin.  Two snowflakes are enough to shut down every school in the country these days.

But some of us over here know what to do in the snow - here's my dog admiring the view at the back of our house.

I think you forgot to post your photos.

It was 14 below and all I had was my smartphone. This is the shipping channel between Lake Erie and Lake Huron. I'm in the US and that's Canada across the river. Freighters are still running with the help of the US and Canadian ice breakers.

I wish we had more snow here. And more daylight. But when I get home from work, there is almost no daylight left, and the weather is wet and cold, but there is very little to shoot.
And the next few weekends are already planned with lots of other stuff, so I won't be able to shoot much until march

It's 1963 and reading articles, it didn't just keep on trucking. How old were you then?

Those would be geese. Specifically, Canadian geese. I think they will be fine.
