You can buy these used in excellent condition for $85 all day long. Great lens, stays extremely sharp through it's entire focal range at F5.6 with excellent color retention. Makes for a very light and easy to use camera with the capability of capturing stunning shots.

Well, you must have got one of the very, very few that is sharp at the long end.

I had one and, while it is quite good at 14mm, the IQ falls rapidly and by 20mm it is poor. 42mm is also poor.

The Panasonic 14-42 II and 12-32 are far better lenses.

Yes it's a special one. It's "IQ" is fine.

That's exactly what I spent on mine! It was my first m4/3 purchase so that I'd have a lens to test out the camera I hadn't bought yet.

The small size is a great asset, although it's been superseded with the EZ version.

Mine was fine but never really wowed me. I found a good deal on a Panasonic 12-60 which I like much better - not only does it have a bigger range but it's weather resistant. The larger size doesn't bother me.
