Any thoughts on DesignSpark?

Recently I've seen several "how-to" videos using DesignSpark for 3D.  It's free to use and looks pretty capable.

I don't have any experience in 3D printing, but this would seem like something I could use, to design simple 3D objects.

Also, 3D printers have come down in price - around $200 for an entry but capable 3D printer, of course the price goes up from there but even $300-400 dollars seems like capable 3D printers.

Anyone have any thoughts or experiences on DesignSpark?

Also, is Creality Ender 3D printers OK? The reviews I've read say there are OK, even for the price around $200-300 for the low end

thanks!

Not really. I use OpenSCAD for most things and recommend tinkercad for novices.

Probably are. I primarily use an $1800 MakerGear M2, but I also have a $350 Wanhao I3 and it works fine. Main difference is print speed; the M2 can print at 200mm/s with comparable quality to the I3 at 60mm/s. Basically, the Creality and most other cheapies (including my Wanhao) are Prusa I3 derivatives, and that's not a bad thing.

Thanks.  I've been doing more research and I'll probably start playing around with 3D design first, then maybe have someone else print it.
