Hey guys, I just uploaded a review of the Fuji 35mm f/2 VS Zeiss Touit 32mm f/1.8: https://youtu.be/W1XdIodHycI

Have you guys had any experiences with these two lenses? I would like to hear what you guys have to say. Which one do you prefer?

Thanks!

I've owned both of these lenses and prefer the Zeiss 1.8/32 in every category including the slightly wider FOV versus the Fuji 35/1.4. If you look at previous threads on the subject, you will find a lot of people trashing the Zeiss but when you dig deeper, you find the never owned one and may have used one a couple of times, usually without the single firmware update Zeiss issued for the lens versus the seven or eight firmware updates Fuji has issued for the 35/1.4 to improve its performance, and the Zeiss is still faster and more accurate.

When I had my X-T2 for six months, the Zeiss 1/8/32 was on it 90% of the time.

I preferred the images from the Touit I had over the 35 f2.  Always seemed to be crystal clear no matter how I used it.  I did like the handling of the Fuji better though.

I agree, the Zeiss has great image quality, and clarity but the classic rendering of the out of focus areas are not to everyone's taste. I have enjoyed using the Zeiss 32mm f/1.8 a lot, but I keep waiting more shallow depth of field, and so I'll be getting another copy of the Fuji 35mm f/1.4.

Thanks for sharing that image! Where did you take this shot, if you don't mind me asking? Even though I have enjoyed using the Zeiss 32mm f/1.4 I miss having the Fuji 35mm f/1.4. I still prefer the Zeiss over the Fuji 35mm f/2, but the f/1.4 has a special place in my heart, and when I look back to my favorite images i always see the 35mm f/1.4 as well as the 23mm f/1.4 which I sold as well, but later repurchased.

It's called the First Canal and I was on one of several bridges that cross it. It is part of a series of canals in Holyoke, Massachusetts that were built in the early 1800s to transport cargo barges from the factories in Holyoke to the Connecticut River. The canals also were used to generate power for the factories and while most of the factories are gone, the canals are still generating power for the City of Holyoke.
