Realizing that finding good Samsung badged flash options...

...are increasingly more difficult to come by anymore, I've been keeping my eyes open to the various used offerings on various websites - whether that be eBay, Amazon, or wherever for the past few years.
I have the Metz 44 TTL dedicated for Samsung - works OK, but not the best in the world - and I've been scouring the net to see what else was available that had a very, very small signature (and was manufactured by Samsung) for my small EX2F enthusiast camera and possibly for use for my other larger NX models.
Well, I found a bounce head option Samsung SEF220A flash being advertised by the seller (on eBay) as new for only $99. I thought how strange it was that this flash was supposedly new, yet only $99. Hmnnnn, I saw other used prices for this flash listing as high as $400 (rip off, I know). So I queried the seller and he apologized, indicating it was not new - but rather in new condition.
Well, I took the chance and purchased this flash anyway. When it arrived, I was dumbfounded (in a most positive way) at how small this flash was, its design characteristics and the fact that the flash hit tilts up and down. I tend to shoot flash scenarios mostly (if not all of the time) in bounce mode, and for those of you who shoot with the EX1 or EX2F, you know that using a small manual flash will not function at all - it needs TTL dedication.
Well, I was really surprised at the massive amount of power this SEF220A flash puts out, completely saturating (with very balanced lighting) a 20 x 20 room at ISO 100 with the flash in bounce mode on the EX2F camera. It was the quality, quantity, and overall balance that had me smiling - and add to that the gorgeous (rich) color tonality of Samsung images when balanced perfectly with excellent flash light - well, you get the message here..
OK - so why am I posting this? Quite simply, if you are looking for a very, very small unobtrusive flash model that punches far above its weight, gives you bounce capabiliies (well the head moves up and down vertically - but not to the side due to size constraints), then I strongly suggest you look around and snatch one of these Samsung SEF220A units up. Just tried it on my NX500 also and unbelievable - same effect. It's like using a much, much larger and power light - but in a tiny package.
I realize this is not new news - but then what is on this forum.
OK, I'm done...
