YRC slight 3D effect

QRC  strong 3D effect

(I viewed them parallel and made note of my findings before reading the comments.)

It is interesting to me that some individuals saw a difference in whether depth was perceptable in the first example depending on which viewing method was used (cross or parallel). I am unable to crossview  so am unable to make a comparison.

It is not clear to me exactly what you are researching here....

Hi, LNygren, I do appreciate your time and participation in the survey!

The survey involves a study of the ability of subtle to subliminal image disparities to elicit a 3D effect with stereopsis. so far results from our forum here as well as from a few 3D viewers from other forums reveal slightly more than half of the respondents detect a 3D effect in set YRC, and all detect 3D eff3ct in QRC.

There will likely be a follow-up survey to test response to an even more subtle/ subliminal disparity  with the hope of establishing means for more finely quantitating sensitivity of stereopsis capacity in the highest ranges of stereopsis capacity (the right end of the Gaussian bell-shaped curve of parametric data distribution.)

Thanks, again, for your input!

Hi, Wayne,

My observations are:

YRC: slight 3D effect

ORC:  strong 3D effect

YRC - slight to no effect..mainly no 3d effect.

QRC - mild to strong 3d effect -- almost like the lens separation wasn't big enough.

The QCR was very effective with lines of text at different positions

The other text showed a 3D effect but the text appeared to be at the same distance.

It was difficult to get a cross eyed 3D effect as the images were close together.
