T6 Self Timer

Just picked up a new Rebel T6 kit, and noticed an improvement in the self timer. Although not covered in the manual, a 2-second delay has been added, and  is now available on the camera menu. When on the tripod, this is just right for getting your finger off the shutter release snd letting the camera settle down before the exposure. Thanks Canon.

Re: T6 Self Timer

I like the 2-second timer, too.  I'm not sure which manual you are looking at but the 2-second self timer is mentioned on p103 of this manual. Perhaps it is more complete than the one you have.

Re: T6 Self Timer

Steve's answer above is correct-I just bought a T6 kit and the included manual overlooked the 2-second delay. The link above will give you the 2-second delay, plus is much more comprehensive on the features. Incidentally, the downloads mentioned in the kit manual are also the latest, improved versions.  The 2-second delay is great, eliminating the need for a cable release and giving the tripod-mounted camera a chance to settle down after you remove your finger!
