Test shots from Vuze XR

Here're some test shots from the Vuze XR. Can anybody here tell me how they compare to the Fuji W3?

Thanks in advance.

The w3 has narrower field of vision, so less distortion - but it won't give you a 180 degree perspective.

I don't think the image below has been reduced in size.  Its a jpg from the w3 without the corresponding .MPO file (which I assume has more of the 3d data).

Yeah, 180 is for Virtual reality, while W3 has a narrow FOV. In fact, very narrow.

Can you share MPO too? I ilike to see right eye sharpness.

thanks

Your shots are nice and sharp and of course, very wide field of view.

The W3 has a much narrower field of view as others have said, but also has a zoom feature, which allows you to get much closer and still maintain some depth perception. Here are some examples from my Tanzania, Africa trip in 2016. I took a lot of 3D gopro video and also 3D W3 stills. I was glad I brought it along. I had to juggle 4 cameras all together, though.

These are cross-eyed SBS created from MPO files straight out of the camera. The camera has wide lens spacing for added depth.

W3-African Elephant- Tarangire Park, Tanzania -- SOOC

W3-Impala Harem-Serengeti, Tanzania -- SOOC

W3-Cheetah-Serengeti, Tanzania -- full zoom, SOOC

W3-Lion feeding cubs, Ngorongoro Crater Park, Tanzania -- full zoom, SOOC. Overlooking a culvert. I tried to keep some of the concrete in view to give it depth.

A MPO file is just a pair of left and right JPG images saved in a single file.

Here is the L-R JPG version saved using StereoPhoto Maker to extract the two images and place them side by side in a viewable JPG file.

There's no MPO right out of the camera. I'm using a Mac, how should I export the MPO? And why do I need to export MPO?

You don't need glasses, just stare at the two L/R images and make yours slightly crossed until you see a stereo image.
