So I lost my GX1 two years ago, bought a cheap bridge camera, broke it, bought a Fuji X100, decided the flaws outweighed the strengths, sold it, upgraded my youngest daughter's saxophone, and now I'm cobbling together money for a used Panasonic GX7 body. As part of that process, I'm looking for cheap decent lenses.

One thing I've noticed is that on Ebay you can often find someone selling an older M4/3 body, something with a 12mp sensor, along with a decent kit lens, and if you end up reselling the body you get the kit lens for about 30 percent less than buying it standalone on Ebay.

So my question is, which M4/3 kit lenses are a real value? What should I keep my eye out for?

I see them here all the time brand new  for as low as $250 cdn from people who buy the GH85/GH5 kits and then sell the lens to recoup some $$$

That's how I got mine, and I love it. I started with the Olympus 14-42 II but it didn't seem all that special.

The Olympus 40-150 4-5.6 can be found for next to nothing, usually under $100 used, and sometimes $100 brand new.

Currently $99.00 at B & H.

The Olympus 45mm f1.8 is $249.00.

The Zuiko 12-60 lived on my E1/E5 for years. It replaced the 11-20mm which I traded for. When I got my Em1 I still used it but sold off all my 43 gear and haven't had time to really get another one but I'm joneseing for a 12-100 atm.

I bought my E-M5 II fully intending to pair it with a 12-100 someday. After the 12-60 I'm no longer in any rush. The price difference makes your head spin.

The 14-45mm is the one to get, better than  the other two.

Re: Bargain lenses

The GX7 is an excellent camera. I would recommend the 14mm which goes for reasonable prices.
