B&H threw in a 32gb sandisk sd card and carrying case which was nice. Dual lens kit is $630. Only through tomorrow.

Whether or not you can believe the BH guy, the deal alone is evidence something is coming.

This deal is not new (except now they throw a card and cheap bag in)

Of course there's new m stuff coming out, but that is why this is such a good deal.

You could wait for the new version and pay double , but do you think anyone will be able to tell the difference in your pics if you pay double?

You'd get better pics buying this "outdated" model and investing the savings in a real good lens, then you'd actually see an improvement

Not really. In Canon's recent financial documents, they admitted that the Imaging division has excessive inventory.

To my knowledge it has never been $400 before and I’ve had my eye on this camera since it came out.

It caught my eye about 2 weeks ago at 399

Yes, the previous sale price was $450.

I forget when the $400 price started, but it was fairly recently.

The M6 is only $379 refurbished from the official Canon store. While the M5 is $479, why not get the M6 instead, then you can add whichever lens you might like.

Shop.usa Cannon. Deals, new, M5 $579., M6 with M15-45 f 3.5-6 6.3. Rode mic, 32 gb card, battery, etc Video creator kit $649. Big reductions in M Series both at all retail and direct. I've seen online you tubers say they would go to better Canon DSLR if there was flippy screen, and now no EOS R either because of 1 7 crop 4k video. That is, how many M Series users are there for video too?

The EOS M Series is alnost solo, not adaptable to EF/S or new EOS R. OK yes the other way around, but does Canon want anyone delaying going to EOS R, from anyone with EOS M gear and some having DSLRs and adapter for M?

Makes a big thing in long term plans of Canon I'm sure

Look where Nikon 1 system went Though not exact equivalent of M Series.
Nikonista here. Thanks for your patience.
