NX3000 for $100?

NX3000 for $100?

How is that price? Without lens. Not exactly what I was looking for, but seems cheap and I like the size. Any weakness I should be aware of? How is the small ring at the backside? Not so fond of those. Could not find the low light specs vs NX500 which should be clearly better. Well, it's small and I could put the 30mm on, the kit lens is usually on the NX500.

Re: NX3000 for $100?

It looks like it has low noise in high ISO but that's because it has a denoise filter that cannot be disabled, even in RAW, so low noise and low details.

Sample images are on imaging resources if you are interested in them.

It also focuses quite quickly in SAF but CAF is mostly useless (it has no PDAF).

For a 100 usd it's a nice backup camera.

Re: NX3000 for $100?

I've enjoyed mine, and certainly wouldn't let it go at that price!

Don't use it often now, but loved doing so before moving to MFT...

Sadly - and perhaps because I've not used it much recently- the time/date system fails on changing battery... probably the quickest of the few such failures I've encountered across a good few cameras.

Yes, it can be recharged directly and shoots a good few per battery (one that's used in their phones, and readily and cheaply available) - but having to reset those details is a real pain part-way thru' a long day's outing... so do check that!

Other than that, and Lightroom's imperfect correction of RAWs from the 16/50 PZ and 12/24, I've found few problems with this nice little camera. Focusing's a bit slow with the 30mm, but so it is on the NX10 - so presumably that's down to the lens?

Plenty of RAW and JPG samples here...

Thanks! A nice backup if I need one. Guess the screen is worse in sunlight than NX500 (which is not good enough). Got NX10 for backup in strong light, good enough at ISO 100. But should NX500 fail - no sign of that - NX3000 could be useful.

Thanks! Guess you are better than me with PP, but an ISO 3200 image on flickr was nice anyway. The best price I have found. And the seller seems to be a nice guy. First on the list is NX30, but the only one I found here was for $800 (with two lenses).

Re: NX3000 for $100?

I was looking for one NX3000 with the 30mm f2, that makes it pocketable, but finally I have bought a Ricoh GR II for 350$

I think it´s sharper, lighter, and can do better job in a smaller package.

Hm, dont tell anyone but I also got GRII. For $380. Most used camera, it's really great. NX3000 would mostly be a backup camera.

NX300 vs NX210

Here we go again. Several Samsungs from the last month still not sold. Og two newcomers. NX300 with kit lens for $1400. And NX210 without lens for $60. And then I see at dpr and another place that NX210 got stabilization?! Is that right? And if so, how good is it?

Re: NX300 vs NX210

No IBIS, only lens based stabilization (OIS).

Well, I though so, strange that one Samsung should have IBIS.

Just found a freelance pro who used NX30 up to august this year! Will ask him if it is for sale. That's the camera i REALLY want, but have not found here. To offer $200 may be too low, will just see. He also has/had NX1000 and possibly some lenses.

As far as I can see more and more NX cameras on the most used secondhand site - and none sold for some time. But not one with EVF so far. With NX30 I could sell most of the Panasonic stuff. And buy at least another NX camera.

I sold my NX30 for about 200 Euro few weeks ago ( I didn't use it anymore, because I bought NX1). So you may find one for you.

Maybe, but this one was sold. A pro who said, it was good enough but no more new lenses. Think at least 90% sold was without EVF, non-pros only go for the tilting screen. Seems like they all want to sell now. And few will buy.

Re: NX300 vs NX210

"They all want to sell". Now NX500 with 2 "short" + "long" zoom lenses, and a 45mm 1.8 2D/3D and extra battery. For $500. Got NX500 and the two lenses, but the 45 could be nice! Much more useful in the dark than the 30mm. So how good is it, and what is it worth? Maybe offer 120....

The 45 is excellent. Sharper than the 30 and faster AF, top lens. Fits the 500 nicely size-wise. Get it if you can for 120. I sold mine couple months ago close to 200.

For NX30 give it some time. There are good ones appearing on ebay (uk mostly) which sell around 100gbp. Since you have the NX500 now you can wait till the opportunity appears.

Thanks! I can try for the 45, he can still sell the rest as a "package". Do not know who to buy from on the net, but that maybe the only way to get NX30. Shame I did not get it new for $350 in 2015... Maybe there should be a separate discussion about the price level of all NX cameras and lenses?

Just tried the good as new NX20, and then I see one NX300 for $ 200. With the 18-55 AND the 45! Must be a really good price? Mostly after the 45mm, but difficult to find alone.
