It looks very good, I love the Gimbal effect!!.

Do you know any similar (cheaper) for a GX85+25mm f/1.7 or Samyang 7.5?

Try looking for a used Beholder on eBay?

The key to any gimbal is getting the balance correct before filming. Check out YouTube for balancing videos.

Nice work.

What were your exposure settings. The light changes so much in the rooms, etc. it looks like a real challenge to keep it as uniform as you did.

Man, that kitchen is incredibly UGLY! 😛 Gut renovation time!

I don't have exact exposure notes however I believe my aperture ranged from between F/2.5 and F/4.0 -ish for most the shots.  There just is not a lot of light for decent shutter speeds inside a typical house.

Shutter speed was right around 1/60th though I take the liberty in going lower or higher to play with window detail, shadow depth, etc.

ISO ranged from 400 to 2000.  Basements are REALLY tough for videowork, bathrooms are also a challenge to film.

Thanks. That’s helpful.

I shoot interior stills with the Panasonic 7-14mm, handheld for construction progress shots and with a tripod for finished work, but never tried video. It’s funny, be cause just the other day I was doing some progress shooting and thought it would be fun to send a video walk-through to the client.

Maybe it's me, but the first half of the video has quite noticeable jerkiness with panning, looking like 24p pulldown judder. In the second half somehow it gets smoother. Maybe the varying the shutter speed is responsible for that.

I would try the same with 60p and shutter 1/45-60 speed, ignoring those cinematographic rules - anyway you are 'around 1/60' - just to make it fluid.

Pretty good stuff but who decided to put a white fridge in there with a black and stainless range and a stainless dishwasher?
