OTOH the Olympus EM1.2 has Pro Capture and Focus Stacking... which is only supported with select Olympus lenses. If you mount a Panasonic lens, they work but you won't get Pro Capture nor Focus Stacking functionality.

So, which will it be?

Well if you feel lucky, there is an unofficial firmware modification that enables focus stacking with all native AF focus lenses and removes the 29 minute 59 second video record limit on the E-m1 markII (and there are mods for some other Olympus cameras, removing the record limit).  I haven't tried it out personally.

And you can use the lightsnowdev site to restore the firmware to the Olympus version:

Re: My EM12 focuses much better than my G9

Since the 2.0 firmware, my Olympus EM12 shines with all my lenses, whether Panasonic, Olympus or Sigma. My G9 struggles at acquiring focus in many everyday situations. I admit that the G9's physical controls are excellent, which is why I bought it, but its inability to find initial focus can be quite maddening. I am hoping that Panasonic will improve its performance with firmware updates.

I am terribly sorry to hear of your difficulties.  If I may suggest, sending the camera in to Panasonic for a checkup?  Seriously.  If the camera seems to be missing focus more often than not it may be indicative of a fault.

E-M1 II of course

- you are familiar with the Oly menu

- your two lenses are Oly. Oly lenses work best on an Oly body.

It's a very easy call, IMO.
