What's a good non OEM battery (EP-L17) and charger for 750D?

Somebody stole my original charger and battery while it was charging in a McDonald's while I was in the toilet

I cannot afford the prices of brand new or even used Canon ones (used ones barely cheaper than new.)

When I had a Fuji Camera the battery life was so low that I used 2 X-Pro spares that wre as good if not better lasting than the original.

So I need a charger and a battery that the 750D will recognise and display the charge on the LCD - I have read that on some Canon cameras that use this bartery, the camera will not recognise some non OEM batteries or show their charge and you have to tell the camera it is a non OEM battery.

That all sounds dubious so would prefer one that works well with the camera, I read some do and some do not.

So decided to ask you experienced folks here.

I also bought my 100d used with an original Canon charger and battery CamCaddy 2 charger and Duracell copies - all works well and that CamCaddy 2 charger charges faster than the original anyway, so I always use that one.

Thanks

NB - Same battery that is used in the

is

  • Lithium ion rechargeable battery
  • 1040 mAh
  • 7.2V

Ended up reading this

https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4268164

And ordering these

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07456B46P/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Don't like the name to be honest (not that it should matter) EX-Pro 'sounds better' to me, but at the price I couldn't think of a reason not to, they have good reviews, and people say they work and display in the 750d, so....

SCORE!  Got an original used / ex demo charger from ebay for £19.99 with delivery.

So now I have one OEM battery (just found a spare under the bed phew!) and one OEM charger.

Now I just need one or two spares - I always like 3 x batteries of non OEM battery and one Non OEM charger (canon charger won't charge non OEM battery and OEM battery even used is £45)

I've always had great luck with Wasabi batteries and chargers.

I don't know if this one displays battery life though (it's been reported that some recent batts have the new chip, and will)...

Wasabi USB charger and 2 batts.
