Upgrading from a 650d

I recently sold my 2nd backup body..a canon 650d..i dont want to spend too much money on buying another camera as it would be a backup to my 5d mark iv..

My budget allows me for a 70d..760d..750d

I am interested in low noise and fast autofocus..i am not interested for liveview performance

Love my 70D, but the 24 MP sensor in the newer cameras is a bit better (I have one in my M5).

Owning the 5D4, I would guess that you'd probably like the controls/display a little better on the 760D (vs 750D). There have been some good deals on it recently too.

Happy shopping!

Edit: Just thought of this, but skip the 70D for sure due to its "bounced flash" ETTL2 underexposure bug (No firmware fix for it). I always shoot all of my flash on full manual power, so it's never affected me, but it would an event shooter especially. R2

Re: Upgrading from a 650d - Canon 77D

At Best Buy stores a body only Canon 77D is $649.  A Canon T7i (800D) camera is $699, body only.  Supposedly the Canon 77D is better but is less expensive at Best Buy.  I don't understand why, but you might want to check into it.

+1 Right.  If you can fit the 77D into the budget, it would be the best option.

All of Canon’s bodies provide at least a modicum of weather sealing, which improves the further up the food chain you go. For specifics on the 77D you’d have to check with Canon, and I would post a query in the 77D’s forum (for anyone who can provide anecdotal evidence).

Best of luck,

R2

ps. I had just assumed earlier that you’d need bounce flash with this body.  If not, then the 70D would be the most weather-sealed of the bunch.

I use my canon ex600rt flashes so i am not really bothered with the builtin flash

The bug actually only impacts external flashes (bounce flash underexposure).

Re: Upgrading from a 650d

From the ones you mentioned, I would get 70D.
