Why dxomark tests show so bad result for Panasonic cameras in comparison with Olympus

For example results for Panas lens 15\1.7 with Oly EM5 and Panas Gx7. Panasonic shows resolution are much worse.

GX7 has a different AA filter and little different sensor than E-M5.

And who cares about DXO when their testing methods do not reflect the reality anyways?

Regardless of that test results (or any similar test results really) you can make same IQ images.

If you want to compare something, get your hands on the gear and do the tests yourself in real world situation, process the files yourself and then make the final images as you would need and then do the comparison.

Re: Different sensor stack

Have to notice, that dpreview test shows not so bad results.

I sometimes think they just chuck numbers into a blender and post up the results.  They over inflated the ISO performance of the EM1mkII, it is no better than any other mid range to higher end M43 sensor but it has a massive spike on DXO ... this is DXO who still can't figure out how to test Fuji's X-Trans, all these years later btw.  Huge pinch of salt ...

Thanks a lot. Looks like it is a reason why I get so much blurred  photos at night sessions.

If purely about shutter shock, you should get soft image rather than blurry image. Blurry image might often be caused by OOF, stability etc more.

When it'll be possible, use e-shutter (12 bits) could be a better option of course. I indeed have not much problem on shooting with GX7 in low lighting, quite dark indeed:

You can always use Photons to Photos

It is easy to use for quick comparisons, they also find the E-M1.2 and the Panasonic G9 to be different from the other mFTs cameras and Fuji is included.

Just disregard

As a professional shooting GX7, I long ago learned to disregard DxOMark scores. My GX7 delivered sharp, crisp, detailed images that outclassed my Canon 1Ds MkII.
