G7 with Pentax PK mount 28mm Sigma

Recently acquired G7 from John Lewis end of line clearance - no lens but very low price. Have 14-45 anyway, but thought I would have fun with my Pentax lenses and an adapter. These are OOC jpgs cropped, nothing else. Shooting in A mode and obviously manual focus.  The tingly blue fringe tells you when you have focus but with shallow DOF it's all down to breathing to get it right.  It's even more fun with the Pentax reverse lens mount and a 50mm.

G7 + Pentax Sigma 28mm f2.8

G7 + Pentax Sigma 28mm f5.6 or f8 - cannot remember!

Don't care much for your subjects but 10 out of 10 for experimenting  Robin,  I agree it is fun trying, I get toys from the 2 Dollar shops and play with food dies etc I would like to see more of your pic's,  It is a shame most people on this forum are equipment oriented rather than taking photographs so don't expect a lot of replies to your post.

Amazing how different those two images look. I'm more a fan of the pin sharp second one. Did you use a helicoid adapter to improve the close focus distance, or does the lens do this by itself?

Yes it is, sometimes this effect woks, sometimes it gets a bit too mushy - to which this has veered. The only changes are that the first is wide open with strong sunshine almost dead ahead and on the limit of focus. I have seen this soft flare with various older Sigmas with strong sunlight whether on the Pentax or the G7. The sharper  was probably f5.6 or f8 with less harsh light.  No other hardware inolved.
