The two make sense, don't they?About the wine: do you add it to the food whilst you are cooking the food? Or do you add it to the food that you have just swallowed?
Agreed. Both are possible, but produce a different result, which affects the taste.
Have you used similar lenses in other formats and brands to claim this is the sharpest lens?ive owned the lense now for just over 4 months and I can say is truly and amazingly sharp. Very fast and the micro contrast is just beautiful.
I believe Sony FE 55/1.8 ZA outresolves it.
But with those specs it's amost irrilevant..

Presumably, these are Optical limits tests. You should be aware that they do their tests on sharpened JPEGs, which means that the usual 50% contrast criterion for MTF rather goes out the window, and why they show something like double the resolution of other sites (that don't do the tests with sharpened JPEGs). Still, they should be self-consistent, so:According to lab tests Sony's 55/1.8 ZA resolves above 3500 lines which is astonishing itself.I have both and the 55/1.8 with an a7rii. I've never done any scientific comparison. Both are very sharp but I would pick the 75 as having an edge. Could be more perceptual thing from the sorts of things I photograph at that focal length.I believe Sony FE 55/1.8 ZA outresolves it.

Oly 75/1.8 is at 3150 which is extremely high.
Specs apart both lenses are insanely sharp.

The lens in question
I think that's enough to suggest that the OP's statement 'The sharpest lense regardless of format' is the usual kind of tiresome provocative hyperbole from which this forum suffers (apart from the fact that he can't spell 'lens').

Ride easy, William.
Bob
I would have given this lens the nod until I purchased the 300 F4 Oly prime. That lens is wicked sharp.
