Lunar Eclipse
12

Considering I was working with an EOS M3 and the EF-M 55-200, I'm quite pleased with the results. Definitely better than a cell phone shot.

Also for all of you in the Northern Hemisphere, you may notice that the moon is now the correct way up!

Re: Lunar Eclipse

Thanks.
The shot's are heavily cropped. 200mm is nowhere near enough to get the moon filling the frame, even on APS-C.

Re: Lunar Eclipse

Thanks for the information.

I wish to have a 'light' telephoto lens..
Look at your amazing shoot, seems the 55-200 is the only option for now.

Best regards,
Peter

Re: Lunar Eclipse

The 55-200 EF-M is a bit soft right at the long end and it's fairly slow, so you really need to have it nailed down to get decent results, but it's decently sharp almost all the way to 200.

It's hard not to like the size and price of the 55-200, but if you're only going to have a single tele lens, the EF-S 55-250 IS STM is worth a serious look if you want to keep things compact. If I wasn't strongly considering one of the 150-600 lenses for wildlife I'd probably have traded my 55-200 for the 55-250 already. Still, it's a nice little lens if you shoot within its limits.
