Thanksand, no I didn't use flash. And this is the camera's macro mode. I got lucky when I found a flower that was pointed upward just like the photo shows. I was both surprised and happy that the tiny hairs on the style branches are visible, even without using macro gear.

I think you're gonna get a lot of great shots with that G6.

Great shot.  Detail is fantastic, even at 100%.  Did anyone notice the bug on the stalk?

The auction included a PhotMed macro lens. I had to get a 58mm to 49mm step down ring in order to mount the lens on the converter adapter. I made a quick test with it and I think it will work well.

I will post better shots soon.
