Winter photography....
2

Its a difficult time of the year to find something of interest to do on cold, wet, and generally horrible days.

When you birthday falls at this time of the year it can be difficult finding things worth dragging the camera out for. I decided yesterday as it was my birthday that we go visit my sister who happens to live in a seaside town.

A grey dreary overcast day would be the best way to sum it up, with little likelihood of sunshine. However the seagulls were somewhat entertaining so a few snaps help lift the mood. I had my Pentax MZ6 with me as well some clicked off a few shots of film as well. I have a roll of Ultramax 400 in the camera and as always with film I'm very prudent on what I image with film as its relatively costly. I shot 12 exposures leaving me with another 24 before I run out so it will be a while before I can compare the results with the 1000D.

Anyway heres a few of the local wildlife putting on a show for me although they dont always make it easy. Two images processed in colour with the last as a black & white as the image was very flat tonally.
