Nx3000 jpeg much better than NX500

I’ve been comparing some jpeg shots and the nx3000 colour, contrast and definition is better than those on nx500.

Also in high iso you can get much cleaner and detailed jpegs (i will post two photos that show it).

How can it be possible?

The Nx3000 has some magic in the jpeg engine.

I’m thinking about selling my NX500!

Nx3000 applies quite aggressive noise reduction that cannot be removed, it's even in the RAW files (even when you turn NR OFF).

While many will be ok with that, it can be very annoying when you don't want it.

As a test shoot a high ISO image in raw and process it with dcraw or similar low level software. You can even see where the noise reduction kicks in as several pixels on the edge of the photo are not affected. You could search the forum for examples as this has been covered before.

But, as always, if you prefer it - that's the only thing that matters.
