Can E-M10 and E-PM2 use the same shutter trigger?

Can E-M10 and E-PM2 use the same shutter trigger?

I'm thinking of buying a pistol handle with a shutter trigger for my cameras. I'm not sure whether or not the E-M10 and the E-PM2 can use the same external trigger format/protocol?

Thanks

The E-PM2 and the E-M10 mark I/II all use the same wired remote shutter (RM-UC1 or clone).  The new model E-m10 mark III does not support a wired shutter release at all.

If memory serves, the same trigger is used for all Pens/OM-Ds, except:

  • E-m10 mark III, E-PL1, and maybe E-PL9 do not support a wired shutter release
  • E-m1 mark II uses a different shutter release (RM-CB2, which is compatible to several of the Canon cameras wired shutter release).
