T5 Focus Screen question (red shadows of focusing points)

Hello everyone.

I recently recieved a used T5, camera seems to work ok in general, but i noticed those red ghosts (or shadows) below some of the focusing points, i took picture with my cellphone and the lens cap on.

Are those normal? do they indicate some kind of problem?

I have a D5500 and never noticed anything like that.

Thanks!

PD. sorry if this been answered before, I searched first, no luck.

Re: T5 Focus Screen question (red shadows of focusing points)

The most likely case is that someone (unfortunately) might have tried to wipe dust off of it. The surface should never be touched. If the camera is operating (focusing) normally otherwise, then it is probably seated OK.

Best of luck,
