T2I for video and Rode Micro Mic

Is anyone using this set up and how is it performing? I'm not expecting pro quality but would like decent performance.

Re: T2I for video and Rode Micro Mic

I have one of the first video microphones Rode released. I don't remember the model but it's a little more expensive than the micro.

Overall, it does fine. I prefer the sound from the Zoom H4n microphones. I honestly don't remember much about the Rode microphone but I do know that whenever I've used audio I ended up with the H4n onboard mics most of the time.

The best advantage that the Rode microphone will give us is more directional sound. The other huge plus is if you get the wind filter, which helps a lot when it's windy. So it definitely will improve your sound compared to the built-in microphone.
