TAMRON AF 70-300mm on GH4?

Hi!

I'm interested in buying a TAMRON AF 70-300mm for my Panasonic GH4 but have no clue which adapter to use. Metabones speed boosters are far to expensive in my opinion. I know there are cheaper alternatives but have no idea of which model that will work? All suggestions are welcome! From cheap simple adapters to electronical ones similar to Metabones speedbooster.

if it has an aperture dial then you just need to get a dummy adapter.

if it does not then get one adapter with an aperture control.

this would be a silly lens to speedboost as it is already slow and m43 can get you faster than this.

Are you sure it's worth it? I mean, even if you are speaking of the cheapest 70-300 Tamron, the adapter would more than double the total price and if you want a focal reducer version, it's gonna be even more.

So it might end up costing similar to native Olympus 75-300, which is going to be smaller, lighter, offer better image quality and autofocus performance. It's regularly on sale and part of promotions. If I remember correctly, it was about 350 EUR during last cashback in Europe.

Now, if you plan to get some other cheap EF lenses to use adapted, it might be a different calculation.

For the record, I use Metabones SpeedBooster with Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8, which I consider to be the craziest thing I bought for my camera. Especially seeing how now I could have gotten the Viltrox adapter for like 1/3 of the price.
