Panasonic G9 + Summilux 12mm 1.4

Excited to have received my new G9 with the 12mm on the way.  Was seriously  contemplating jumping to Sony, but m43 has served me very well and I like my current lenses.  Having already a GH4, the bonus is I have 2 extra batteries and now 3 chargers.

Is anyone using this particular combo?  I think this will be a well handling package.  I decided to splurge on the 12mm as I tend to favour wider angle low light shots.  I have the 25mm 1.4 Summilux that I have been extremely happy with and have taken some really nice photos with it.

The G9 is a really great camera too.  I absolutely love the ergonomics of it.  When Panasonic announced it, I was immediately interested as I am mostly a stills shooter taking just the occasional video clip.

I like this lens, and mostly use it at f1.4.

Not exactly this, but I do have the 12mm. I don't use it often enough, but it did great for what I bought it for. You can read my quick summary here . This is definitely a specialty lens. If you just need a 12mm focal length, any of the zooms will do just fine.

When you get it, make sure to check for decentering issues. Seems that lately "Leica quality" basically is no different than "Samyang quality". Meaning, it's more of a lottery than most would like.
