Photoshop Help

Can someone please suggest the process or help with isolating the bride and groom in the center from this photo? I would like to keep the background and only keep the bride and groom in it.

Thank you!

Pete

Save money on expensive telephoto lenses. Stand closer to the subject.

Re: Photoshop Help

You're going to need a photo of a clean background to do that, and a lot of cloning to do after extraction.  So hopefully you have some other photos of the B&G together or separate, along with the clean background.  Extract the couple then copy and paste them onto the new background, but it is not going to look natural, IMO.  Next time it might be a good idea to shoot the couple alone, which is usually done.  gc

Re: Photoshop Help

It should work.  excellent extraction, Ray.  Might need to eliminate that shadow down his left leg, but easily done.  gc

Update

This was a wedding in Phoenix, Arizona. It was my newphew's wedding. They had a very low budget for this backyard wedding and did not want to pay for a "real" wedding photographer. I don't usually shoot these but did this one.

1 hour before the ceremony it started to rain and we all collected popups to cover the tables and dance floor. The original plan was to shoot the portraits a few houses away in the desert area but the weather was unstable.

I did get some B&G separate shots but not on the background I wanted. I did capture some good moments and other nice portraits but would like a different background than what I have.

I had taken some sample desert background photos the day before that I can provide as a background to get the bride and groom extracted on the background.

I really appreciate the expert help I am getting.

It might be better to put the bride/groom on a different but similar background.

Numerous Select/Copy to a new layer, blended in over the BG with masks, clone tool and healing brush.

Then ... reread your request so ..

Thank you very much Ray, for a change I did this one in Affinity Photo, as usual I could have spent a bit more time on it, personally I prefer your version, a wonderful edit Ray.
