The Good > super sharp, great bokeh with a nice transition. Fast & accurate AF.

The Bad > purple fringe. It's there - oh, it's there.

Thanks for the feedback. I love my 85mm f/1.8, but shoot wide open he time and hate the purple fringe. If the 1.4 still exhibits a high amount you just saved me a bunch of cash!

I like the lens, I really do. But wasn't expecting to see any purple fringe at ƒ2 and it's there. Worst than a 135L wide open in the same situation. Drat.

JC, since your feeling from Lee Baby's review is that Canon's new 85, 1.4 shows a "high amount" of purple fringing, I suggest reading Lensrentals' recent extensive review. You might feel more positive, maybe not.
