NX1000 200mm Long Lens - how to auto focus

I just bought a NX1000 and added a 50-200 OIS Samsung lens. However, when I use it the auto focus does not work, I have the lens switch on auto focus but it doesn't. If I try manual focus, the image keeps switching between 50 mm & the long shot.

Camera is in Smart Mode

Is there some setting I have to use to get the long lens working?

Thanks

Re: NX1000 200mm Long Lens - how to auto focus

You zoom by twisting the lens barrel and you can see the number foing from 50 to 200. When you turn on manual focus it enlarges the center portiono of the frame to make it easier for you to focus, it does not zoom in. AF should work and you should have a green square on the screen where it focuses. Do note that it cannot focus on things very close to camera (1m or similar).

Also, try learning how to use camera not in smart mode. At least try P or A mode (and read or watch a tutorial on the matter)
