Don, have u had a look at Franzis` (german) software, i have posted u the direct link to their `focus stacking` program, it is usually around $80 odd, but they have a sale on and its selling now for $20, join their e-mailing list and these offers come up every few weeks/months, i bought `FOCUS projects 3` in their last sale a few weeks ago for $20 here in the UK, DARN -GOOD BUY!!

how does it compare with zerene ? their gallery has no bugs with tiny hairs in it, PS can do anything simple like their gallery images but not the complex insects where your using microscope objectives.
