Almost perfect

A lot of options in this gear, som useful, and some not (for me that is). I like almost everything in this camera, but some buttoms, like the ok/meny and four arrows, are very narrow and kinda spungy. Another thing I dislike is that the option "low key" seems gone away. Why Panasonic, why? I have it in my GX7 and find it useful sometimes.

But all together, this camera breaths quality and is very snappy in reaction and af.

That's a very bold move, posting a review of the G85 when everybody seems to be completely occupied discussing the pros and (mostly) cons of the new GX9

However I for one agree with your findings, it's a great camera apart from the buttons on the back. I'm leaning towards the Sugru solution, already bought the stuff but so far haven't gotten myself to actually attack the camera with it.

Thanks for your input, JoostL. After 3 years with the GX7, I wanted a camera with a good LVF in the middle. Couldn`t really be friend with the evf in GX7, specially not with glasses. The G80 evf is a huge step forward in that case. It gives me a much better form factor and balance as well. You are going to "hack" your buttoms? How?

I'm thinking of putting a bit of Sugru on the 4-way buttons, and maybe also on the Disp button to make them a bit thicker and easier to find by touch. I'm not the only one, see for instance this thread: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4249203 (almost all of the buttons and in pretty colours as well), or this blog: http://cameraergonomics.blogspot.pt/2017/08/camera-ergonomic-score-summaries.html?q=sugru
