From E-P5 to 4K

Hello!

I have PEN E-P5 - i am suffer from ugly video quality and problems with both control dials. I am long time looking for new body but i don't want to pay more than $600. I need good 4K, stabilization, and all other thing not worse than my present camera.
Today i see good deal - GX85 + 12-35+ 45-150 for 598$ on many stores until end of the month. Should i jump to train with 2-year old model? I can sell my E-P5 and some unneeded lenses (i have sigma 60/2.8, oly 25/1.8, pan 14-140/3.5-5.6) and final price for migrating should be very fine.
Or there is a better way to spent 600-700$?
E-M5 Mark II - 4K not so good as in GX85.
E-M10 Mark III - perfect 4K but have limited possibilities because marketing.

Thank you.

Re: From E-P5 to 4K

That is an excellent deal on the GX85. Given your criteria I would be sorely tempted.

Re: From E-P5 to 4K

I use both the E-M5 II and the GX85 for video.

The E-M5 II doesn't do 4K but its 1080p is good. It also has better IBIS and a mic input.

The GX85 does have 4K but no mic input so you have to record sound separately and sync in post or try to make do with the on camera mics. The GX85 does have really good IBIS but the E-M5 II is noticeably better.

When I shoot video with only one camera its almost always with the E-M5 II because the better IBIS and built in mic input make post processing easier and faster and right now that's more important to me than 4K. I also seem to correct white balance in mixed lighting less on the E-M5 II than the GX85.

I would suggest looking at the G85, it has 4K video, good IBIS and a mic input. If you don't mind used I've seen it under $700 and if you can wait I've seen both new and demo models around $700 from time to time.
