Panasonic 100-300 II reducing CA in Lightroom

I had a quick play with a Panasonic 100-300 II borrowed from a local camera shop, using it on an E-M1 II. I took as far as possible identical shots with a Canon EOS 7D with a 100-100L (Mk I) to compare.

Comparing the two sets of shots I thought the 100-300 held up pretty well, except for significant chromatic aberration on some shots (light sky against dark buildings).

Lightroom applied the correct lens profile to the RAW image and I also tried ticking "remove chromatic aberration", which made a slight difference/marginal improvement.

Any other suggestions on what I can try to reduce CA?

You probably would not see that on a Panasonic camera.

Geesh, no one else has replied. Makes me feel bad. So I think I can say something useful. Google this phrase: "Reduce chromatic aberration lightroom"

and you will get multiple probably useful links.  One example:

Re: Panasonic 100-300 II reducing CA in Lightroom

Thanks, I should have thought of referencing Scott Kelby as I do have one of his Lightroom books.

It was possible to remove the purple fringing, but the de-fringed area looks terrible. What should have been the hard edge of a fence against a clear sky is very fuzzy.

The really bad CA was with the lens wide open, stopped down there was only a little CA.

Looking at other shots I took make me think the lens is soft in the bottom left, which is where I saw the bad CA.

I'll see if the shop has another 100-300 I can try, hoping the softness/CA is confined to the first lens I tried. I'll try a 100-400 as well, although I'd almost ruled it out for cost/weight reasons.

Try a combination of 2 steps if one doesn't wok - First, just check the Remove Chromatic Aberration button. Second - if that's not enough, go to the HSL panel, enlarge the image so that the chromatic aberration is easily visible, use the clicker to select it, and reduce the saturation till it disappears, or at least is minimized.
