Video: sunrise over city
3

Hello everybody

I thought I share a quick video I did yesterday with the G85:

As I said, the camera was the G85 and the lenses I used where the Oly 12 - 40 2.8 and, for most shots, the Oly 75 - 300 4.8 - 6.7 II.
It's one of my first videos and the 75 - 300 impressed me. Most shots where quite usable and sharp.
Everything is shot from the exact same location. Camera on a tripod of course.
Comments/critique welcome.

Cheers, Oliver

It's mesmerizing, staring at the tiny details available in 4K.  I enjoyed it.

Impressive, with great soundtrack. If this is one of your first, then the future holds much promise.

The only comment I would make (and I do very little video) is that, maybe, a transition effect (fade or wipe) between each stage, rather than a jump, would add some smoothing.

Excellent. My only remark would be that your tripod seems not sturdy enough to keep the 75-300 stable; there's a distracting shake in some of the shots. The detail from the 12-40 is brilliant though. Beautiful colors, music and editing. Really liked it.

The scene with the several houses and smoke coming out is pretty cool but nice video all around.

Thanks a lot.

Yeah I noticed the shake too... it was actually quite windy on the hill where I was standing... but yeah... I guess I need a more sturdy tripod for things like that.

Any recommendations? Should be as small/packable as possible...

Well good input, I might try that in my next videos

I use the MeFoto Roadtrip for portability. It's pretty good and reasonably priced. With a heavy backpack hanging from the column hook it's pretty much rock solid.
