Vertical Line on Canon 760D images

I realized I have an issue with my camera today . I have a Canon 760D, that is just over  two years old and is not under warranty. The problem is with the sensor as far as I’m concerned. When I take images or look at the screen before taking an image there is a black line that runs from the top of the image to the bottom of the image. This black line is very narrow, but very noticeable with every image I take. The problem is not with the screen of the camera, the memory card or the lenses. I have tried different lenses as well as different memory cards in order to try and solve the problem. I have also viewed the images that I have taken on a different screen, such as a computer and a phone screen, and yet the black line is still evident. What other steps should I take to diagnose the issue, and have you seen issues like this before in the past?

Thanks for your feedback!!. Well that's disappointing...do you know how much it would cost to replace the sensor??

Dang, looks like a bad sensor indeed.  That stinks.  Last resort, try a hard reset (I'll parrot another poster):

Shut camera off.

Remove battery, lens, and mem card.

Hold the power button for 30 seconds.

See if that clears it up.

Usually up to half the cost of a new camera (check with Canon first).

Two other options...

Live with it and use the "Healing Brush" tool in Photoshop (or carefully employ the "Clone Stamp" tool.  Turn off all sharpening in-camera and in Post though to make it easier.

Use the Canon Loyalty Program to get a new (refurb) camera.

Best of luck to you!

Not a fix but if the Rebel has an option to take medium or small raw you can try those modes and see if it skips the bad line(s).
