Panasonic GH4 Issue - Screen is frozen when I press the Playback Button

Hello

In a few days ago I was shooting an automatic Timelapse with my GH4. After the shooting was done, I've met a lot of issues with it .

1 : Each time I press the playback button, the screen freezes and all the camera's body is not working. When I want to turn it off, I have to remove the battery. It does the same thing when I only go to the playback menu or when I press the wifi button.

2 : The screen doesn't work well sometimes when I turn the camera on, Many strange dots appears on it. (It happens just when I turn the camera on).

3 : When I want to rotate the screen, the picture is staying at the same position

4 : the touchscreen is not working

I was thinking it's a firmware issue, (my version is 2.5), I've downloaded the 2.7 version but I can't install it because when I press the playback button, everything freeze.

Can you please help me ?

Thank you

I'll bump this to the top again and maybe you'll a helpful response.  As for me, I don't have a Gh4 so nothing specific but if I were you I would try a system reset which should put the camera back to default settings as when new.  You will lose any and all settings you have changed so you might want to write them down so you can get back to where you are now more easily, assuming the reset helps you get past the problems you are having and perhaps allows you to update the firmware.  Good luck.

Try another SD card, especially if you are using  LEXAR cards. They have had problems with their 1st two revisions. I don't think this is a common problem with the camera. If you were shooting time lapse, were you running on external power? Generic power supplies may not provide enough power and can cause this problem. Happened to me once - verified it was the power supply.

This is a long shot given the age of your post, but did you ever find out what the issue was? I have a friend who has a GH4 which is exhibiting the same issue. Any pointers on how to fix it would be amazing.

Many thanks,
