1200D (200€) VS 1300d (260€)

Hello! I would like to know what is your opinion

I can puchase the 1200D + EF-S 18-55 for 200€ (Second hand, no warranty)
or the
1300D + EF-S 18-55 260€
or
1300D + grip + 2 batteries 270€

or
1300D body only 220€

All are second hand and without warranty. Wich deal would you go for? How much is it worth to pay for the 1300D over the 1200D?
Go with the Body only, and get some other second hand cheap better lens? Or the 18-55 is worth it?
Thank you very much in advance for your insight and advice.

Which 18-55mm lens?  Could be non-IS, IS, or IS STM?

Re: 1200D (200€) VS 1300d (260€)

I think the major difference in the body is the 1300D has built in WIFI and the 1200D does not. Otherwise I think the specs are very similar between the two, they may even have the same image processor (DIGIC 4 I believe).

I have a 1200D and like it enough even though it gets mediocre reviews. Seems to take great pictures in my opinion, especially with an upgraded lens.

Since its the same 18-55 lens with both bodies I'd save the 60€ and put it towards an upgraded lens down the line and go with the 1200D kit.

I'd call that a deal-breaker. IS is essential, especially for small-aperture lenses like that. STM lens is to be preferred.

It means you have finally decided to split your cash in any single of them. Right? Then let me clear you that there are very minor differences between these two cameras (Canon 1200 and Canon T6/ Canon 1300D).

Canon 1300D is an update version of Canon 1200D and the additional features you get in T6/1300D is :

  • Wi -Fi Connection
  • LCD Screen Resolution
  • NFC connection.

By the most of the features are rightly same..

My vote for Canon 1300D - An incredible start-up camera.

+1 The STM version is far and away the better kit lens.  You can usually find it used for about $100 US, if it's not available in the kits you mention.
