New Macbook Pro with old ACD LCD Monitor

Does anyone know if I can use my ancient 30" Apple Cinema LCD Monitor with a modern Macbook Pro (15")?  What kind of connectors would be needed?

Here's a link from Amazon which shows my old monitor:

https://www.amazon.com/Apple-30-inch-Flat-Panel-Display-M9179LL/dp/B0002ILKWM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511046277&sr=8-1&keywords=apple+30%22+cinema+lcd+monitor

Thanks kindly for any assistance.

Pak

Re: New Macbook Pro with old ACD LCD Monitor

Plan A

Get an adapter that goes from USB-C to Dual-Link DVI.

Plan B

Get an adapter that goes from USB-C to (Mini)DisplayPort.  Get a second adapter that goes from (Mini)DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI.  Daisy-chain them.

Note:  Beware DVI adapters that do not specify dual-link DVI and that are not explicitly advertised as supporting a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.  Most inexpensive DVI adapters are single-link devices that cannot support the 30" ACD's resolution.
