Canon EOS M10 filming issue

This evening I was filming on my M10, I was at the beach and it was sunset. When I reviewed the footage, the stones reflecting the light are glaring red. I had similar issues filming a night scene in NYC, the red lights were glaring so much it was distracting from the rest of the scene. What can I do to correct this?

Are you using a filter on the lens? If you are maybe try taking that off. A lens hood may also help with stray light.

if you are shooting at a light source then it may be difficult to prevent. Try a different angle when filming.
