Best bird shots so far

GX85 + Olympus 75-300.

These pale in comparison to some brilliant shots posted on this forum by more patient photographers with amazing skills and great lenses. But they're still not bad for a cheapish, light and relatively small lens. The GX85's IBIS and shutter also certainly help! Believe it or not, most of these were taken on only 3 separate days, simply because..Australia has a lot of birds.

White bird with red beak

A bird of prey

A hungry bird of prey

An agile bird

Pretty sure this bird has low IQ

Cormorant

Darter

A thirsty bird

Black duck

A big bird

And again

A pterodactyl

Bird eating mud

Funny looking bird

Seagull trying to look cool

Frustrated seagull

Swallow

Eyeing my lunch

Found something better

Colourful bird

Give me some food!

Swallow doing something weird with its wing

Kookaburra waiting for chance to steal sausage

Pretending not to be waiting to steal sausage

After stealing one sausage

Seriously annoying bird (pretty sure all birds would agree)

Seriously weird looking bird

Hello

This bird has a sexual organ or weird looking tongue in its mouth. Please tell me what it is.

Cute bird.

Cutie again.

Thanks. It's easy to shoot birds in Australia because they're everywhere.

What a great selection of birds. You've got some beautiful images there. I've always been impressed by the 75-300 a very usable lens with a great focal range. Good to see it's working well with the panasonic.

Great shots and those Blue-faced Honeyeaters are sharp. Shows that the 75-300 is still sharp enough at the tele end.

Some nice shots there...and this is proof that the 75~300 is no slouch when  properly used.  Only complaint I have is this is too many photos for one post.  Having said that I enjoyed seeing your work.
