So the new metric is "Bullet Points". WOW, that sure does boil it down into something we can all understand.

WE know the sensor read out times for:

A7r2 = A7r3 = 1/13 s

E-M1.2 = 1/60 s

A9 = 1/150 s

What is the corresponding value for the G9?

I can only guess how far someone would have to reach. In what world does anyone interested in a 42mp FF camera care about the features, performance, etc of a 20mp m4/3 camera and vice versa? You are really struggling to figure out your priorities if you're scratching your head trying to determine which one of these cameras meets your needs better.

I came from mft and I did like the Panasonic gx7 I think I had, I was not happy with low light performance.

That is why I sold it and now have FF 24mp Sony a7ii.

I just got it, but already am happy with a few initial test shots.

Actually I like something about mft. But I would never buy any Panasonic cameras again.

I used to own GX8, GH3, GX7. I had a problem with the IBIS of GX8. (Upper part of image got blurry effect when IBIS powered on.)

Panasonic guys found the problem but couldn't fix it for me.

They replace something but that didn't fix the problems They told me they couldn't do anything about it.

I sold them all.

The more flexible LCD panel could be the feature that wins the fence sitters over.

G9: "Advantages of the G9"

A7rIII: "Arguments in favor"

Nope, no bias there...

The g9 certainly edges both the a9 and the a7riii in one crucial area.  It actually has a real implementation of dual card slots.  It's shameful that a $1700 camera has 2 uhs ii card slots while a $3200 and $4500 camera don't.

As the G9 can shoot 60 fps, its sensor read out time

should be equal to or better than 1/60 s, no?

Incredible the length that those on the Micro Four Thirds camp go to it. I left it after shooting with it for years and one aspect I always disliked was the cancerous arguments, intrigues and outright hostility on that side off the fence.

Evidently we look so much alike that your desire to make an incurable dent in my hat must be excused.

This can be said for most any forum on DPR unfortunately.. it's amazing to me that a place like this could be such a good resource of information and yet so vile at the same time.. almost analogous to Mos Eisely....

In all fairness, the article also has the following:

"If the count of relative strengths (bullet points above) is taken as a measure, the G9 comes out slightly ahead of the A7R III (5 : 4 points). However, the pertinence of the various camera strengths will differ across photographers, so that you might want to weigh individual camera traits according to their importance for your own imaging needs. Considering that the UHS-ii slot does not support Memory Stick but the UHS-i slot does, I think that explains why Sony kept the UHS-i slot.

That's not my experience. I am a Sony user, currently RX1 and A7R2. I mainly participate on an Oly forum because I find the atmosphere so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They all know I use Sony and no one gives a damn.

Good! Great!

Would be nice if most photo forums could be like this, accepting that there are different needs and still keep a climate where we can disagree on pros and cons, and discuss with relevant arguments.

Absolutely. Dpreview forums are great, have helped me with many camera issues/advice.

However, Brand bashers on any side spoil the atmosphere. Sony fans as bad as m43 fans as bad as Nikon fans etc etc.
