Motion Trigger for A7R2

I see an old thread on this subject from 2016 but with no product recommendations. I've looked at the Opteka and Movo motion triggers but none seem to be compatible with Sony cameras.

Does anyone know of a motion trigger that will work? I plan to set up my A7R2 this winter looking out our back door to photograph the frequent wildlife coming through.

Thanks.

I don’t know what kind of motion sensor you are looking for but I use the Pluto trigger on my DSLTs. It has sound, laser etc.

I think both the products you mention will work with just a change of cable. They and the Micnova all seem to use the standard 2.5mm jack so they can be adapted to almost any camera with a $5 cable from eBay.

One trigger that actually does work with the Sony A7rii is the Miops trigger.

Maybe that is an alternative for you.

Apparently it's not compatible with the A7R2 according to a question they answered on Amazon.

That's a shame. I like the looks of it.

That looks like it may be the one I'll buy. Thanks!
