Had a nice walk in the Clingendael estate in the Hague, the Netherlands, today. Enjoyed the colors of autumn.

This was taken last Autumn but I have recently changed back to Fuji cameras and I am looking forward to taking some autumn shots soon with the X-T20

That's a nice composition.   My tastes usually tend towards lowering the Vibrance (and compensating with a slight Saturation uptick), though.   Different strokes, and all that.

Luckily we had some decent enough weather before it turned wet & windy this past weekend.   There was a nice pocket of foliage in Bovina that turned earlier than in the Catskills proper.

HDR??

The image looks like it has been run through an HDR process and hence appears to me (!!!) to be a tad overcooked.

I would have taken the light green down a tad and also taken the blue out of the bridge.

De-saturated the light green + hue shift, desaturated the blue in the bridge and desaturated the deep grees a bit

But that's just me, I hope you don't mind??

Etienne. Thanks for posting the neat image of Fall in the Netherlands. Myself I generally do tend to less "drama" in my Fall photos as Mother Nature does do a great job herself.

Here are 2 years of X-T2 Fall colors ... most with 18-135mm lens and some with the 55-200mm and 100-400mm lenses.

Hi. No problem. This certainly was not HDR. Till recently I have been using Nik Collections for PP. Since a few days I do most of the work in ACR if Photoshop. I manage far greater control than in any other software I have.  What I do have is a serious problem with my calibration of 3 screens. Even though I have calibration devices I am unable to get a uniform calibration of the screens. I only noticed the saturation and vibrance when I saw the picture on my phone

Nice shots, all!

I photographed this couple paddling on Kidney Pond, in Baxter State Park, Maine, last week.  XT20, XC 50-230mm.  Full screen

I prefer somewhere in between. But there probably is no right and wrong here.

Re: the colors of autumn

I only read the OP and the first response. The colours don't look at all autumnal. Sorry guys but there is so much saturation my eyes hurt.

I think your original photo is best! I love the brilliance of the greens, but just enough fall colors on the leaves on the ground. Just my 2 cents worth.

Re: HDR??

An other strange occurrence is,  I always save the images I will use for Internet in sRGB (even though most browser's are color aware), I am finding big difference between the browsers I use.

This is a screen grab from Opera.

This is a screen grab from Firefox. Here at least on my monitor the image is way to saturated with vibrance  to high.

The image from the Opera browser comes closer to what I was seeing in PShop.

Artificial colours

Sorry, I do not like these colours, they look artificial, unnatural with too much saturation. What I noticed is, the newer X-Trans, the more unpleasant colours it renders. Take first Fuji : X-100, X-Pro1/X-E1 and the colours and ballance are much nicer and more natural; in my view best in X-100 and worst in X-T2.

The various comments here highlight just how subjective photographs are and whilst some like a more saturated look, other prefer a more subdued natural look. Many like the look of classic chrome but I find it very unattractive and it has no appeal to me whatsoever so I am in the more saturated [though not Rockwellesque!!] camp and I think that that autumnal colours lend themselves to some extra saturation than may normally be used. Rightly, others disagree and that makes photography all the more wonderful as there are photos out there to please all tastes
