Godox TT350F

Hi,

I purchased a Godox TT350f flash thinking it worked on fuji cameras but it does not seem to work with my Xe2, have i made a mistake and it does not work with this model.

It worked fine with my X-E1 so see no reason why it shouldn't work on the X-E2

Are you sure you brought the Fuji version of the Godox flash and that its settings are correct? It should work. Is your camera set to fire an external flash?

Define "does not work"

• Doesn't fire?
• Doesn't do accurate TTL?
• Doesn't fire off-camera?
• Doesn't fire with shutter speeds above 1/250s?
• Doesn't fire remote flashes over RF?

Check:

• That the batteries you put in it are in good health and fully charged.
• That you have it seated correctly (yes, it's possible to mount a flash backwards) and fully forward in the hotshoe (if you're using it on the hotshoe). All the pins on the flash's foot should touch the hotshoe contacts.
• That your XE2 is set to fire an external flash.
• That your TT350-F is not in S1/S2 modes (these are optical slave modes, and tell the flash to ignore the hotshoe, and "listen" to the sensor panel instead)
• If you're doing wireless radio triggering, check that the channel is properly set on both master and slave units.

The Godox flash system is good, and works on my XE2. But it's hard to figure out from the crappy manual and has no product support as far as I can tell. (I've emailed 4 times in the last month about HSS not working and have yet ro receive a response.)

But make sure of 2 things:

your camera is not set to silent and most importantly Manual shutter only is selected in the shooting menu. I had mine set to manual and electronic and no flash worked.

The simplest thing is to reset the camera to factory settings. Also make sure the flash is not in master mode.

HSS only works for xt-1/2 or xpro 1/2

ttl works for all.

you may want to see that you are not in the HSS mode for you flash

Just adding my experiences to the mix.  My TT350-F works great with my X-E2.

I would follow the advice of others in this thread.  I'd also be very sure that the flash is properly mounted in the hot shoe and that all of the contacts are clean.

Actually, the list is X-T1, X-T2, X-T20, and X-Pro2. The X-Pro1 cannot do HSS.

The X-E2 can't do HSS.  The camera body and flash both need to be able to do HSS to get HSS.  Fuji only added the feature in 2016. Basically, your camera has to be able to do HSS with an EF-X500 to be able to do it with a TT350-F.  This is a Fuji issue, not a Godox one.

If you got the Adorama Flashpoint R2 version of the TT350-F, you can also email brands@adorama.com for support. I've had better luck with them then trying to email Godox.

What firmware version is your X-Pro2 on? Current version is 3.12. EF-X500 compatibility (and HSS) was added with v2.0 and tweaked with v2.10.

If you're using an X1T-F as your transmitter, it also needs to be updated to v03 in order to give HSS with the TT600, V850II and (possibly) the XTR16 and XTR16s receivers. As of this time, the TT350-F has not been updated to fix these issues.

For HSS over radio to work the camera, the triggers, and the flash must all be capable of HSS.

The flash works, just not HSS. I set it to on, take a picture, and get a giant black bar through the imahe and HSS has shut itself off. Any yes all camera and flash software is the lastest version. And Godox support does not answer email or phone support requests. If you work for Godox, please let me know how to get a hold of an actual person so I can trouble shoot.

guess they sell their producs so cheap that they cannot afford customer service

i wanted to get AD200 for fuji TTL and emailed then if the AD200 can ttl w fuji now....that was a more than a month ago and still no reply. but managed to get know it does now thru users in the fuji forum here.

Just for clarity, you have an X-Pro2 that's on the latest firmware?

You have a TT350-F? Or are you using a different Godox flash?

Are you using the flash on-camera? Or off-camera? If off-camera, what are you using as the on-camera transmitter? If an X1T-F, is it updated to v03?

Are you using S1/S2 modes (which are manual only and don't allow for HSS).

What does "imahe" mean?

What are your camera settings? Can you post an example of the error?

Have you checked the batteries in the flash?

Have you checked that the flash is properly seated in the camera hotshoe?

Is HSS the only thing that doesn't work? (i.e., you can use TTL, 2nd curtain, adjust the power through the camera menu, etc. etc.)

It works with my TT350F and X-PRO2. All the photos including the exif of 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000, 1/4000 and 1/8000 @ https://www.sritch.com/fuji/fujifilm-xpro2-hss-ttl.html

Look at the windows/curtains on the right side and you can see the daylight "going"

No processing, those are JPEGs out of the camera and the cropping is done with ImageMagick.

So it must be your settings with the camera.

Not saying HSS does not work for others. Just not for me. What wrong settings would allow the flash to fire but not in HSS. There may be orther variables at play here, like I may have a faulty flash unit. Onething for certain, Godox support is a myth.
