A200 iso50

I can't believe A200 did iso50 i really should re-acquire.

I really like this one . Lovely gradual tones and D.O.F .

I still have my a200 and quite oftern take it out with me when I'm shooting mainly medium or large format film , but still want a small 28-200mm digital set up with me as well .

Appreciated Neil. This photo and A200 iso50, ability to selectively nail focus persuaded me to re-acquire.

I'm still loving my 7d. Lately I've been having it at the ready my 7d is 14 years old I had the FFB issue fixed 13 years ago. It's been fine ever since. BTW.it's still working with the two original OEM batteries

I'd like to collect a  7D properly working. Got some legacy glass to photograph with on its CCD.

I would not take 1000 dollars for my 7D with Vgrip, two batteries and charger, all the Konica Minolta boxes, and the manuals and all the paper work. That's because I like what it produces,, and I don't need 1000 dollars to buy something else..

Just trying to express how much I like my 7D

Early days i may have located a working 7D. Tuesday i can confirm whether i can purchase.

Can mirror be locked up, how loud is mirror slap. If i used a 135mm would 7D mirror slap scare away butterfly you took with 250mm

For mirror lock uo you need to set the drive mode to "2 second Self Timer" .

When you press the shutter release or better still , use the cable release , and press that , the mirror is raised before the timer starts , 2 seconds later the exposure is taken and the mirror drops back down .

.

Regarding mirror slap scarring stuff off , I've never had a problem . There are louder and quieter cameras out there , but the 7d isn't bad .

.

Mine works fine too .

And no , your not having it !

Be nice to share some old Minolta or KM photos or some new ones. Minolta glass on a Sony camera is ok too.

Glad you put the Sony camera part in there. I'm new to a "nice" camera (Sony A57) and am learning how to shoot volleyball games right now with my daughter's club team. While these probably aren't great to most, I really liked the colors of the Minolta AF 50 mm f/1.7 lens.

Kooks like you got everything right,.. ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. You captured a couple of great memories here . Sharp and colorful too. Amazing with the use of a 50 mm lens.

Thanks.  The advantage of tournaments with younger girls is you can get closer to the action and the officials are usually ok with it.  I did have to do some cropping but overall I was definitely more happy with this lens vs. the Sony 35mm 1.8 I just bought.

Fell through.

Oh well.

Meanwhile there is a CCD 10mp with Tilt screen Liveview, OVF, purchased £58 awaiting delivery. For sure only Minolta lenses shall be placed on it : F1.7 50mm AF as well as "beercan" F4 70-210mm AF : as these i can afford.

Definitely A200 or 7hi should i see them within my budget.

Too bad on the 7d .

Still , I'm sure you'll enjoy your new camera , which is it , an a290 ?

The sensor in my old a100 did a nice job with good colours . not so good above  ISO 400 , but a nice camera all the same .

A tilting screen with live view is very handy for macro though .

.

You might want to avoid the DiMage 7hi .

I managed to find one that was working , took a good few years though !

Those and the A1 both had the dodgy Sony sensor in them , and unless it had been replaced under warrenty it will be dead .

.

The Minolta DiMage A200 however is a very nice , usable camera .

I quite often take mine out when I'm shooting mainly film , partly as a record and for if I want a digital camera that does 28-200mm equivalent rather than a point and shoot type camera .

Image quality is fine for most things in good light .

This is one of my favorite shots with it while I was up on the moor's with my dog and my medium format film gear .

Our Max having a rest . Taken with a Minolta DiMage A200 .

A300 : 10mp CCD sensor same as your A100 : supposed to be less noisy than 14mp A350/A290. Bodies based on Minolta 5D apparently.

Just hoping putting Minolta lenses will give me something like 7D colours.

Bright light iso100 foliage, 1:4 macro for me with the "beercan" F4 , tilt screen for ground level saplings, buds. Adding 50mm F1.7 with 18inch close focus distance.

You might want to avoid the DiMage 7hi .

A200 it is. I was swayed by a post on the 7hi. I shall return to A200 i once had. Special lens on it.
