Help me choose please

I see alot of these threads in here and promised myself I would never start one . . . however I would like some opinions.  I have put together a small travel kit consisting of an Oly EPM2 in white, and the Pany 40x150 in silver.  I need to now cover my short end  and keeping it compact by either purchasing the Pany 20 mm or the Olympus 17mm both in silver versions. What is the general consensus to mount on this camera?

My choice is the Lumix 12-32 f3.5-5.6 as it's very small and VERY sharp!  My E-PL7 loves this little lens!

I don't have any, but I have seen some videos on youtube talking about that the Pany 20mm is somewhat slow focusing (specially in continous focus for video)...

I hope it helps...

If you don't mind cheap, I'm happy with my humble Sigma 19mm.

Re: Help me choose please

For your travel kit I would say that the Panny 12-32 is a great lens in terms of versatility.

If you needed an indoor or night time lens then I would go for the Oly 17.

In terms of cost, I reckon you could pick up both the Oly 17 and the 12-32 for about the same as say the PL 15. In terms of versatility adding those two to your existing tele zoom would make a small 3-lens travel kit.

Just looked and I could get a brand new 17 for £250 and a used 12-32 for £110.

Re: Help me choose please

Great suggestions, I already have the Sigma 19 (and love it, I use it on my G3), but I wanted something just a little smaller in overall size for the EPM2, hence the Oly 17 or Pany 20 (which I'm not seeing much love for). And yes, used is the way I'll buy.

The Panasonic 20mm f1.7 is an excellent stills lens. It's AF mechanism is nowt suited to AFC at all and my GM5 won't even allow me to select AFC with this lens mounted.

Re: Help me choose please

I would recommend the Oly 17/1.8. It will focus very well on your epm2.

I think that is the lens I'm leaning towards. Plus it looks good.
