Pumpkin Island Light Sunset, Deer Isle, ME

I was just going over some work from August because I processed the shots I really liked at the time, but often, when I go back, I notice panos I took or other shots that might not have resonated with me as much at the time of the shoot.  These are a few from the day of the big eclipse in August--but at sunset!  The sun was setting through a fog bank, so it looks otherworldly and I had to (believe it or not) tone DOWN the color in the sun. . .

This first one is a shorter version of the extremely long panorama I will post next.  This one is almost 60 inches long!

This second one is 85 inches long and would probably only be good for a banner in a magazine or on a website, honestly. . .

And the final one is a detail shot of the sun and the pine trees to the left of the pano.

Thanks for looking!  Cindy

Cindy, LOVE the color. Yes the sun can be intrusive that time of day, but you "hit the nail on the head",

Well done, Tom W(ret)

Thank you so much, Tom!  Don't get me wrong: I loved the sun, but it looked wild!  Cindy

Well done Cindy. I am more and more strongly considering the K-3II. Just cannot wait much longer for the K-3II replacment to be announced. Either that or a low mileage K-5IIs if nothing is available by next April at the latest. I want to have a backup DSLR for my East Coast trip next June or July. Not interested in a FF DSLR.

Thanks Jim!  I think you would be THRILLED with the K3II!  It's why I haven't bought the K1 before now.  It just has such higher resolution and better everything than the K5 series. . .  I'd highly suggest going K3II and not K5IIs. . .  Cindy
